As a Publicist and Public Relations Intern at MUD Magazine, my responsibility was to ensure the alignment between the MUD brand and its goal of using the platform to engage, entertain, and educate the magazine’s Gen-Z audience. My mission in this role was to always be one step ahead of the next big trend, scouting the next viral moment before it even happened.

By growing connections with talent agents, media representatives, and brands and organizing collaborations for MUD, I was able to help elevate MUD’s presence as an up-and-coming digital magazine. My favorite part about working at MUD were the moments of “YES” - when I got a response from a rising Netflix star’s agent saying they would love to do an interview for the magazine, or when a popular influencer agreed to represent MUD’s apparel.

Check out some of the projects I got to work on.

Christian Leave, an artist I pitched to do a cover, pictured on the March 2021 issue of MUD.

The first interview I ever booked for MUD with Chelsea Clark of the hit Netflix show, Ginny and Georgia.

Chatting with Francis Karel, a rising TikTok creator and musician, for MUD.

Another interview I booked - this one with Sara Sadok, a TikTok creator popular for her body positivity/self-love videos.

  • "Katie has an incredible work ethic. We are so happy to have her on our team!"
